So what do you do with these when you're finished? Revise, flesh out, edit, submit? Or compile for a series? Or are they just good for your soul? I'm trying to allow myself to start writing shorts purely for the sake of my soul, but I'm having a hard time getting past the "live up to your potential and get published!" voice in my head.
I've written four novels for the good of my soul. It really is good. Maybe someday they'll be edited, fleshed out, sold...but for now? Nah. They're just for fun and personal achievement.
Thus far I've graduated college with an English degree (read: I work in a bank), come out to friends and family (read: I'm gay), accompanied my boyfriend of seven years to all kinds of sweet events (read: I'm taken), and managed not to make too many enemies in the whole process. Life is...
