That's right. I finished last night. 50,311 words. In 14 days. Gloat gloat.
The sucky part about all of that is that I'm the ML for the area, and if I'm not working on something, being at the write-in while people are writing is going to be really difficult.
So I'm trying to come up with something to write while I'm there...something I can add to my word count. I have a second novel idea, but I know I wouldn't finish it by the end of the month.
Maybe I'll just use the random character and plot generator that came in the goodie bags from the kickoff party and write something from that. Hm. Who knows...maybe it'll be better than this year's REAL novel...

Congrats! Are you going to tell us more about the plot and characters of this story at some point? I hope so! Also, congrats on getting your blog back :)
Well done! I'm miles off yet, but had a good day today - 2500 words. I'm really enjoying the feeling of 'just write the bloody thing and fix the bugs later' that you get with this and having a deadline is keeping me at it. I'm mega-impressed with you getting yours done in the time. How's Robb doing with his?
I love the random generator thingy - how does it work?
Thanks, Bryan! I'm pleased it came back...I was ready to just throw in the towel on the whole thing...
And who knows...you might hear more about it...
Argent, congrats on your 2500 word day! I had a few of those! I think the whole spirit of NaNo is what keeps me going, not worrying about fixing things and making sure everything is so accurate...just...writing.
Robb hit 36,000 yesterday, I think. He's almost a week ahead. I'm so friggin proud of him!
And the random generator? It's just a bunch of sheets I have with plot stuff, settings, characters, names, occupations, traits...and they're all in lists of 1-100, so I just pick a random number or three and I've got a character.
Congratulations!
Thanks!
