We carved pumpkins last night! I forgot how much I hate jamming my hand into a cold gourd and yanking out slimy innards. But we had fun!
This one is mine. I'm a simple guy. I think he kind of looks like a Dragon Quest enemy with his big eyes and mouth that scream "cute but menacing."
And this is Robb's. Recognize him? You might if you read Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It's Fregley. And it's a damn good carving, too! I was way impressed with his results.
He's all lit up and ready to cast a fire spell.

All in all, an adorable Halloween!
Oh, and I learned a lesson. Pumpkins make scarier faces when you point them at a blank wall:

Great work guys! BTW, you're not alone in your hatred of pumpkin guts -- I can't stand them either! In fact, that's why I haven't carved a pumpkin in the last 3-4 years.

Thanks, both! I was interested in your reaction, Brian. I had a friend tell me that my pumpkin looked like a Goomba from Mario. I don't know why I didn't see that before!
I like your punpkins - yours looks more scary to me than Robb's - simple is sometimes good for that. Happy Halloween to you both.
You know, I can *totally* see where your friend is coming from. Your pumpkin's face does look like a Goomba! Can't believe I didn't see it before...
