I have just been tasked with coming up with a fresh new way to sell our points credit card. I know a lot of you don't have any idea what that means, but I'm sure ALL OF YOU have been offered a credit card at some point.
I have until next Wedensday to come up with a handout and a short presentation of new ways to try and sell this card. My first thought was akin to panic, just because public speaking is...not really my thing...but it's my coworkers. And now...I'm just thinking about ways I'd want a credit card sold to me.
So...can I ask you? How would you want a credit card sold to you? What would work for you?
Any idea you might have would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know if this is different from the points program attached to checking accounts at national city, but I will say, you could sell it to me by offering better stuff. For the most part, the rewards are kind of sucky... although, I did get a rolling stones subscription from constantly using my debit card.
I'd like to have a credit card printed with an image I have uploaded myself. OK pure fantasy but definitely a USP that would get my attention. My card gives points back as money once a year and that's what I like, no having to 'spend' the point on crap I do not want. I want online card management and i don't want endless invitations to transfer balances from other cards (that I do not have) or pre-printed credit card cheques. Is that any use? Good luck with the presentation!
I'd like a card that offered gift cards with membership. Different kinds that you could pick from, Barnes and Noble, Bath and Body Works, etc. You could also earn these with points?
Well personally, I like the points programs. I'll agree most of the "rewards" are kind of sucky, but it IS actually money back on money you've already spent on other things. If worst comes to worst, my points credit card offers gift cards for point-to-dollar amounts, and I like that alot!
The "cash return" credit cards won't pay out as much as the points do, at least in my experience anyway. Maybe you should do a compare/contrast with your cards as opposed to others?
GM, that's the most do-able solution I've heard.
